Discover: McQueens Flowers 2021 Christmas Installations

Christmas has descended upon the city, and with it comes the much-anticipated arrival of our festive installations in some of London’s most iconic hotels. With production starting months ahead of the approaching holidays, each display is meticulously planned and curated in the lead up to what is by far, our busiest season on the year. Striving tirelessly throughout the winter our expert teams work their festive magic – crafting, building, and decorating to produce designs that highlight the unique personality and layout of each establishment – with ever more spectacular designs from one year to the next. Read on for just some of the show stopping McQueens Flowers Christmas installations you can discover throughout the sparkling city this year.

Claridge’s

Nestled in the heart of Mayfair this iconic hotel is one that we have had the pleasure of dressing for over 25 years. This Christmas, Claridge’s is adorned with frosted arches brimming with baubles, miniature snow dusted Picea and custom-made, papercut snow globes. On entering the grand lobby, guests are greeted with the festive scent of fresh forest pine from bushy Nordic Fir trees. Frosted silver branches laden with baubles decorate the halls and silvery, Art-deco inspired monochromatic displays adorn the fabulous foyer.

Connaught

Step inside the Connaught and straight into the warmth and yuletide cheer of a classic Christmas scene. Standing pride of place, a towering silver tree shimmers at the base of the iconic Connaught staircase. Generously decorated pine swags wrap around the banisters and pillars, filling the lobby with the glorious scent of cinnamon, oranges, and pine.

Mandarin Oriental

The magnificent Mandarin Oriental is transformed into a magical, winter wonderland with the arrival of a towering, golden tree. Handmade by our expert team this dazzling creation stands a whopping 4 metres tall and 6 metres wide – a show-stopping design delicately suspended with hundreds of glittering glass baubles. Throughout the marble-filled halls further delights await – from giant, golden arches to glimmering garlands with smartly-clad Christmas nutcrackers scattered throughout.

The Grove

This year our talented team worked together with The Grove to highlight a more environmentally conscious approach to luxury design – creating sumptuous, yuletide installations with solely reused, pre-loved and up-cycled decor, recyclable and foraged materials, for series of fabulously festive displays. From an enchanting golden tree in the central lobby to angel ornaments hand-cut from paper, and pages of recycled books carefully folded into festive origami. With eye-catching designs woven throughout each room, it’s easy to get lost in this display!

Corinthia

The stunning grand entrance and central lobby of the Corinthia is the main backdrop to our festive installation at this iconic establishment, nestled just a stone’s throw from Trafalgar Square. Suspended stars cascade from the ceiling, circling around a cluster of hand-made, snow-dusted trees. Nordic Firs laden with dried oranges, cinnamon and hand-tied ribbons flank the staircase – while hurricane lanterns, natural garlands, festive florals, and glowing Christmas scenes spread yuletide cheer throughout the hotel.

Rosewood

Inspired by frosted alps and the frozen tundra, our talented team brought snowy scenes to the Rosewood London, with dripping icicles and snow-covered trees – a swirl of yuletide and festivity has swept inside and crystallised for the holidays. Taking pride of place, a statement silvery-blue Christmas tree surrounded by hand-wrapped gifts glimmering beneath twinkling pea lights.

Carlton Jumeriah

Last but certainly not least, the spectacular Carlton Jumeriah – where the concept of the classic Christmas tree has been re-invented for the holidays with a decedent central design brimming with heaps of shimmering baubles and gloriously scented evergreen foliage. Throughout the hotel, classic Yuletide is re-imagined with whole dried limes, natural pine, potted bulbs, and metallic hues expertly arranged as festive accents with a contemporary twist.
