Job Title: Senior Florist (Full Time)

Department: Contracts
Reports to: Line Manager
Location: Bethnal Green, London

Role:

The job-holder will be a valued member of the McQueens talent team, with responsibility for helping to produce exceptional floral designs and installations. A senior member in a team of Florists and Assistant Florists, the applicant needs to demonstrate a high level of creativity and technical competence as well as well-developed communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.

Our customers include some of the world’s most luxurious and demanding hotels, restaurants and event venues, and organisers – all of whom expect a flawless execution of the services we have committed to providing to them. Senior Florists play a vital role in making this happen and need to be committed to going the extra mile when necessary – settling for nothing less than perfection and exceptional quality.

Job Title: Shop Manager

Role:

The job-holder will be a valued member of the McQueens team, with responsibility for managing one of our retail shops and helping to produce exceptional floral designs for our customers. As well as taking responsibility for the shop and retail orders, you’ll be expected to support the wider business by helping to make up orders for our contract and corporate customers when required.

The Shop Manager needs to demonstrate creativity and technical competence as well as well-developed commercial, team and retail management skills and experience.

 Duties:

  • Accountable for the scheduling of the store team and the opening and closing of the retail space.

Role:

The job-holder will be a valued member of the McQueens team, working in one of our London retail shops to produce exceptional floral designs for our customers. As well as taking responsibility for retail orders, the role calls for a combination of passion, customer-focus, creativity, commercial acumen, flexibility, team-working, interpersonal skills, organisation and planning, attention to detail, and staying calm under pressure.

 Duties:

  • To organise and support senior florists to always deliver daily orders.
  • Maintain and drive store standards prior to shop opening and through trading hours.
  • To support in the preparation of commercial contracts at agreed times to agreed contract standards and build strong key relationships with key contact.
  • To own the daily email enquiries and communicate new orders to Store manager and to answer phone enquiries and payments.
  • Support in deliveries and venue set ups in local business and key contracts
  • To own the daily conditioning and preparation of flowers and vases, in readiness for store trading.

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the ecommerce strategy and tactical plan to deliver against department and business sales targets.
  • Deliver website sales and performance reporting; producing daily, weekly and monthly reports, analysis and actions.

    The job-holder will be a member of the McQueens customer team, with responsibility for giving great service to our customers by appropriately resolving incoming enquiries by phone and email, providing helpful and comprehensive product and service information, resolving product and service problems, carefully taking and processing customer orders, and contributing to the growth of our company. You’ll also be responsible for aspects of business administration and operational support by taking care of daily and monthly sales reports, helping with month-end sales invoicing reconciliation, liaising with our delivery drivers and florists throughout the day to keep everything on track, and booking couriers when required. When busy we may also need you to turn to your floristry experience to support the floristry team with the making of daily orders. 

    With a relentless focus on understanding our customers’ needs and collaborating with relevant colleagues, you’ll combine a passion for solving problems, commercial common sense, an attention to detail, and good communication skills to solve problems and mobilise colleagues when required to help us deliver outstanding customer service, protect and grow customer revenue, and continue to elevate our brand reputation.
